Alpha Omega, a renowned supplier of digital modernization and cybersecurity solutions for federal organizations, has recently publicized the promotion of Nitin Vartak to the position of Chief Technology Officer (CTO). Vartak, who has been an essential member of the Alpha Omega team since 2018, has previously served as Director of Solutions and Vice President of Technology.
In his new role, Vartak will be entrusted with leading the solution vision and mission-focused strategy of Alpha Omega, establishing capability Centers of Excellence, and guiding the development of intellectual property to drive innovation. With nearly twenty years of experience in designing and integrating technical solutions for both federal and commercial sectors, Vartak is well-equipped to steer the digital strategy to benefit Alpha Omega’s customers within the National Security, Foreign Affairs, and Climate Science domains.
Expressing his appreciation for the opportunity, Vartak stated, “With so much at stake for our Federal customers, I am honoured to apply my expertise in cloud, digital modernization, cybersecurity, and artificial intelligence. As CTO of our rapidly growing organization, I will have a dual focus on both our customers’ missions and pursuing innovation and excellence so that we may continue to serve our country and its citizens.”
Vartak’s promotion comes at a pivotal moment for Alpha Omega, which was established by CEO Gautam Ijoor seven years ago. The company has experienced significant growth, with annual revenue exceeding $140 million and a 49% increase in staff over the past year, in addition to being awarded $468 million in new contracts. Vartak’s appointment as CTO is part of Alpha Omega’s strategic leadership expansion aimed at defining roles and enhancing organizational maturity, customer experience, quality, and talent management.
Chief Operating Officer Mike Deutsch praised Vartak, stating, “Nitin has been an instrumental part of Alpha Omega’s growth and has also been the driving force behind our solution CoEs, IP development, and delivery methodology. His elevation to CTO will enable Alpha Omega to execute our core strategy of combining market-leading capabilities with deep domain expertise to develop real solutions to our Agency partners’ most pressing challenges.”
Vartak’s credentials include a bachelor’s degree from the University of Mumbai and certifications in Project Management Professional (PMP), Amazon Web Services Architect, and Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) practitioner.
