A new show, “Everybody Dance! The Sound of Disco,” featuring the BBC Concert Orchestra and conductor Daniel Bartholomew-Poyser, will premiere at the London Palladium on March 15, 2025. It will include orchestral arrangements of classic disco hits from well-known artists and special guest vocalists. Tickets go on sale on December 6, 2023.

The BBC Concert Orchestra, under the direction of renowned conductor Daniel Bartholomew-Poyser, will debut a spectacular new show titled “Everybody Dance! The Sound of Disco” at the London Palladium on Saturday, 15th March 2025. This follows the successful Disco event at the BBC Proms earlier this summer. The concert will pay homage to the vibrant disco movement of the 1970s, featuring orchestral renditions of timeless hits from iconic artists like Chic, Gloria Gaynor, Diana Ross, Boney M, and Walter Murphy. Expect a night filled with dazzling performances and special guest vocalists celebrating the essence of disco culture.

Disco music emerged in the 1970s, profoundly influencing pop music and fashion of the era. Originating from New York City, it epitomised a cultural movement marked by dance, individualism, and nightlife. Venues like Studio 54 became legendary for their unique atmosphere, attracting stars and fostering a sense of community among fans of the genre. The show aims to revive this iconic era through an orchestral lens, showcasing its lasting impact on modern music.

The “Everybody Dance! The Sound of Disco” show is set to be a vibrant celebration of disco music, bringing together an expansive orchestra and celebrated vocalists. With tickets available from 6th December, fans of this lively genre will soon have the opportunity to relive the glitzy disco era in a spectacular setting.
