The exhibition features interviews discussing their creative process through three films, including award-winning “The Brutalist.” A private opening is on 30 January, with public viewing starting 3 February, Monday to Friday, from 09:00 to 17:30.

Cooke has unveiled its latest exhibition at the Cooke London Gallery titled “Creative Gravity.” This exhibition explores the collaborative dynamics between cinematographer Lol Crawley (BSC) and director Brady Corbet through a series of insightful interviews. They discuss their creative process in adapting scripts into a visual narrative through their partnership in three films: “The Childhood of a Leader” (2015), “Vox Lux” (2018), and the recent “The Brutalist” (2024).

The exhibition highlights the achievements of Crawley and Corbet, especially after “The Brutalist” earned three awards at the 2025 Golden Globes, including Best Director and Best Film. The duo also received nominations for Best Director and Best Cinematography for several upcoming award ceremonies, including the Critics Choice and BAFTAs, all linked to their choice of Cooke lenses on Kodak film.

Visitors to “Creative Gravity” are invited to explore how Crawley and Corbet’s working relationship developed across these three projects. A private gallery opening will be hosted by Cooke on Thursday, 30 January, and the public can access the exhibition from Monday to Friday, 09:00 to 17:30, starting from 3 February.

The exhibition “Creative Gravity” showcases the partnership between Lol Crawley and Brady Corbet, focusing on their artistic journey through film. Their collaboration has led to critically acclaimed works, highlighting the technical aspects of cinematography and direction intertwined with the selection of specific film equipment. This initiative allows audiences to appreciate the behind-the-scenes effort of crafting visual storytelling in cinema.

“Creative Gravity” not only celebrates the collaboration between Crawley and Corbet but also underscores their success in filmmaking. With accolades and nominations to their name, the exhibition promises a compelling insight into their creative processes. The gallery opening presents a unique opportunity for the public to engage with the artistic narrative behind Crawley’s cinematography and Corbet’s direction.
