The Xinjiang exhibition booth has made its debut at the World Travel Market in London, showcasing the region’s rich culture and tourism potential. Featuring over ten tourism enterprises from Xinjiang and with the largest Chinese exhibition area since the pandemic, the pavilion highlights the theme of “high-quality development of Chinese tourism”. Visitors experienced Xinjiang’s vibrant culture and customs through immersive videos and were offered coupons for hotels and attractions to encourage international tourism. Guli Abulimu, director of Xinjiang’s Department of Culture and Tourism, emphasised the region’s strategic location as a key node in the Belt and Road Initiative, facilitating connections with Central Asia and Europe. He noted the transformation of Xinjiang into an accessible destination due to enhanced transportation links and visa policies.

The World Travel Market (WTM) is a key international tourism exhibition, renowned for showcasing global tourism offerings.
