]]>Rialto, after 24 years, has announced their upcoming album titled ‘Neon & Ghost Signs’, scheduled for release on April 25 via Fierce Panda Records. This album, produced by Rialto’s frontman Louis Eliot alongside Tam Johnstone and mixed by Cenzo Townsend, features a range of vinyl pressings including a glow-in-the-dark edition. The debut single, ‘No One Leaves This Discotheque Alive’, showcases a nostalgic ‘80s club sound. Additionally, Rialto will perform an intimate show at Scala, London on May 14, with pre-sales for tickets starting January 15.
Rialto, formed in 1997, released their self-titled debut album in 1998. Despite initial setbacks, including being dropped by their label just before their debut, they managed to achieve some success, particularly in Southeast Asia. They disbanded after their second album in 2001, while frontman Louis Eliot continued with a solo career and worked with Grace Jones. Their upcoming album marks a significant return to the music scene after decades of silence, ignited by Eliot’s recovery from a health scare.
The announcement of ‘Neon & Ghost Signs’ and an intimate London show signals a much-anticipated return for Rialto. The band’s journey from modest beginnings to a dedicated fanbase in Southeast Asia, coupled with the personal revelations of Eliot, adds depth to their reunion. Fans can look forward to a blend of nostalgia and new music, with varied album formats set for release.
