The Lloyd’s Art Group’s winter exhibition launched today, showcasing over 250 artworks with sales benefiting Emmaus charity. Key events include the Aon Prize and the Developing Artist Award. Attendees can vote for their favourite artwork, engaging both live and online audiences.

The Lloyd’s Art Group’s winter exhibition launched today at 9:00 am in the Old Library, featuring over 250 artworks from both professional and amateur artists linked to the London insurance sector. The exhibition, which runs until Thursday, offers all pieces for sale, with 20% of proceeds going to Emmaus, a charity supporting the homeless in London. Included in the week’s events are a private view and a special sketching session at the Walkie-Talkie building.

The Aon Prize will award the best two pieces voted on by Aon employees, with £500 for the winner and £200 for second place, announced during Tuesday’s private event. Additionally, the £500 Developing Artist Award, determined by Brian King, will also be revealed. Visitors can vote for their favourite artwork for the People’s Choice Award, with a £400 prize for the winner and a bottle of champagne for one random voter. Among the featured artworks are pieces by artists from various companies within the insurance market, showcasing diverse styles and mediums.

The Lloyd’s Art Group, established in 1963, aims to support artists who are either part of or associated with the London insurance market. This annual exhibition not only promotes creativity but also fosters community involvement, highlighting the rich artistic talent within the industry. The partnership with charities such as Emmaus illustrates a commitment to social responsibility, and the Art Group engages a broad audience through both in-person and online voting for awards, enhancing public engagement with the arts.

The Lloyd’s Art Group exhibition is a significant event, showcasing artistic talent within the insurance community while supporting a charitable cause. With various awards and recognitions, including the Aon Prize and People’s Choice Award, the event encourages participation from both artists and attendees. The exhibition represents a merging of corporate culture with charitable efforts, enriching the London arts scene while addressing homelessness issues.
