Pamela Anderson’s famous *Baywatch* red swimsuit will be showcased at London’s Design Museum in the exhibition “Splash! A Century of Swimming and Style” from 28 March to 17 August 2025. The exhibition will include over 200 notable swimming items, celebrating the history of swimwear from the 1920s onwards, including Anderson’s iconic suit.

Pamela Anderson’s iconic red swimsuit from Baywatch is set to be featured in a display at London’s Design Museum. The exhibition, titled “Splash! A Century of Swimming and Style,” will run from 28 March to 17 August 2025. Anderson, known for her role as lifeguard CJ Parker from 1992 to 1997, has had the swimsuit become synonymous with the show, renowned for its dramatic beach sequences. This particular piece has had a fascinating history, previously owned by fellow cast member David Hasselhoff before being acquired by Germany’s BikiniArtmuseum, which is lending it for the exhibition.

The Splash! exhibit will celebrate the joy of swimming and water culture, showcasing over 200 items that include the first Olympic swimming gold medal won by a British woman and various classic swimwear designs. Amber Butchart, a dress and design historian, has curated the exhibition, which promises to provide a rich perspective on swimming fashion from the 1920s onward, featuring notable items like 1980s Speedos and the controversial LZR Racer swimsuit.

Pamela Anderson rose to fame in the 1990s through her role in the television series *Baywatch*, which featured dramatic lifeguard rescues along Malibu’s shores. The show’s red bathing suit worn by Anderson became a cultural icon and is now widely replicated. The upcoming exhibition at the Design Museum aims to highlight the significance of swimming through decades, with Anderson’s swimsuit as its centerpiece. The inclusion of historical swimming memorabilia illustrates the evolution of swimwear and its impact on fashion and sport.

The upcoming *Splash!* exhibition at the Design Museum will feature Pamela Anderson’s legendary *Baywatch* swimsuit, emphasising its cultural significance and the public’s enduring love for swimming. Running from March to August 2025, the exhibition will display over 200 historic swimming items, providing a comprehensive look at swimwear evolution and its intersection with sport and fashion.
