The National Gallery will open its Van Gogh exhibition for 24 hours during its final weekend due to high demand. It has become the gallery’s third most popular paid exhibition with 283,499 visitors. Additional night-time tickets will be released for January 17, coinciding with the exhibition’s conclusion on January 19.

The National Gallery in London will extend the opening hours of its acclaimed exhibition, “Van Gogh: Poets And Lovers,” to 24 hours over its final weekend due to overwhelming demand. Since its debut on September 14, 2024, the exhibition has attracted over 283,499 visitors, making it the third most popular paid exhibition in the gallery’s history. Night-time tickets for January 17 will be available starting Thursday, marking only the second instance of an overnight viewing, the first being for the 2012 Leonardo da Vinci exhibition.

This exhibition is the National Gallery’s inaugural focus on Vincent Van Gogh and is distinguished for exploring the artist’s imaginative transformations. It features over 60 artworks, with loans from various museums and private collectors globally. Furthermore, a 90-minute film titled ‘Exhibition On Screen: Van Gogh Poets And Lovers,’ directed by David Bickerstaff, will provide additional insight into the exhibition, screening in UK cinemas. National Gallery members enjoy free access until the exhibition’s closure on January 19.

Overall, the extended hours for the “Van Gogh: Poets And Lovers” exhibition reflect its immense popularity and the gallery’s commitment to providing unique experiences. As it features an extensive collection of Van Gogh’s work and offers night-time viewing, it promises a captivating conclusion to the exhibition’s run.
